quantum physics is an ab initio model because we can basically determine all the material-property form schrodinger equation just like the newton’s equation to describe the classical world. Uncertainty principle, exclusion principle and schrodinger equation are the first principles of quantum physics. Electromagnetism is an ab intio model if we consider the Maxwell’s equations as its first principle.
