Ab initio model

Quantum physiscs is considered as an ab initio model because we can describe the properties of materials by using the phenomenon of quantum physics without going into classical physics. Classical mechanics is also an ab initio model because some of the properties of materials can be explained on the basis of principles of classical mechanics. classical electromagnetism is an ab initio model and its first principles are Maxwell equations.
