We call quantum physics and classical mechanics “Ab Initio Models” because they represent the world from first-principle (a.k.a. on the most basic level). Other fields that deal with fundamental properties of the world, such as electro-magnetism, also are Ab Initio since they represent these fundamental qualities of the world.
